Thirst – Ava Delaney #1

Thirst is the first in a six-book urban fantasy series.

Ava Delaney calls herself a hybrid – a living, breathing human who happens to have vampire poison running through her veins. The only thing greater than her thirst for human blood is her capacity for guilt. She does her best to avoid the human world, for everyone’s sake.

When Ava accidentally enslaves a human while saving him from a vampire, she realises she has to look for help setting him free. Despite her misgivings, she expands her world but finds herself dragged into a possible vampire civil war. With the help of some new friends with ambiguous loyalties, she tries to find a way to keep her human, and herself, alive.

Amazing, even better when it’s free on kindle store 😀

I also love the way you sort of modernized it but kept with the stake and holy water thing, I haven’t heard a proper vampire story like that in ages! And poor Arthur.. 🙁

      • I had to make up the world first, and then see what fit. That’s always fun. 😉

I know. I was sad to see him go. He had an interesting story that didn’t make it into the book. So did Max, actually. Sometimes I tell myself everyone is going to get their own book – pity there’s no time for that!

Haha- I love extras from other peoples POV’s! At the start I thought she was going to fall in love with him or something. Then he died. I was like: “Oh. Nevermind.”

          XD

It was a cool twist though, I guess it would be hard to love a vampire anyway.. C:
